After the Institution provides notification regarding the death of the Insured Person, the Policy Holder shall deposit the prescribed ₹300/- Bujurg Sahayta contribution immediately or within the time prescribed by the Institution. The Nominee of the Policy Holder must be the eligible nearest family member of the Policy Holder and must be duly registered in the records of the scheme. No other person shall be accepted as the Nominee of the Policy Holder.

In the event of the death of the Policy Holder, the eligible Nominee of the Policy Holder may receive the Bujurg Sahayta payable to the Policy Holder in relation to the death of the Insured Person, subject to the eligibility, membership, contribution, document, verification and other applicable requirements of the scheme.

Any discrepancy, incorrect information, forged document or concealment of material facts may result in rejection of the assistance request and suspension or termination of membership in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Bujurg Sahayta shall be approved only when the Institution is satisfied that the applicable eligibility, membership, contribution, document and other requirements of the scheme have been fulfilled.
Approval of the assistance request may be communicated through the communication method prescribed by the Institution. Where the required conditions or verification requirements are not satisfactorily fulfilled, the Institution may postpone or reject the assistance request.

The Policy Holder shall deposit the prescribed ₹200/- per month contribution for one year from the date of registration as per the scheme. Completion of the contribution period alone shall not terminate or reduce the applicable 12-month waiting period.
After completion of the 12-month waiting period, the Policy Holder may become eligible to receive Bujurg Sahayta subject to fulfillment of the prescribed contribution, documents, verification and other applicable requirements of the scheme.
Applicable insurance coverage, including its commencement, continuation, validity, renewal and termination, shall be separately determined by the Terms and Conditions of the selected third-party insurance policy and such insurance coverage shall remain valid only up to the age of 60 years.
16. Pre-Existing Condition / Prior Event
Any illness, medical condition, disability or other related condition existing in the Insured Person or Policy Holder before registration shall be subject to the applicable rules, conditions, exclusions and eligibility provisions of the relevant third-party insurance policy.

The existence of a pre-existing condition or rejection of an insurance claim due to such condition shall not, by itself, affect eligibility for Bujurg Sahayta in relation to the death of the Insured Person, provided all applicable conditions of the Bujurg Sahayta Yojna have been fulfilled.
Any condition or event existing before registration that is required to be disclosed under the relevant insurance policy must be disclosed correctly. Concealment of material information may affect insurance coverage or claim eligibility.
17. Multiple Insured Persons / Multiple Benefits
Under the Bujurg Sahayta Yojna, Bujurg Sahayta shall be payable only once in relation to the death of each registered Insured Person.
No Policy Holder or Nominee shall have the right to claim or receive Bujurg Sahayta more than once for the same Insured Person's death.
If the Policy Holder has registered separate policies for more than one eligible Insured Person under the scheme, assistance in relation to the death of each separately registered Insured Person may be considered separately, subject to the applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution and other Terms and Conditions of the scheme.
No duplicate or additional benefit shall be payable on the basis of multiple applications, claims or nominations for the death of the same Insured Person.
18. Circumstances of Ineligibility
The Policy Holder or Nominee may become ineligible for Bujurg Sahayta under the scheme in the following circumstances:
The Policy Holder or Insured Person does not fulfill the eligibility, membership or 12-month waiting period requirements of the scheme.

The Policy Holder, Nominee and Insured Person shall be required to provide true, accurate, complete and genuine information and documents at the time of registration and during membership in the scheme.
Submission of false, misleading, forged, altered or fraudulent information or documents or intentional concealment of any material fact shall be considered a violation of these Terms and Conditions.
If such information or documents are discovered during verification or after payment of Bujurg Sahayta, the Institution may reject, withhold, suspend or recover the relevant Bujurg Sahayta amount and may suspend or terminate the membership.
Bujurg Sahayta obtained through fraud, misrepresentation or concealment of material facts may be recovered from the concerned person, without prejudice to any other rights and remedies available to the Institution under applicable law.
If incorrect or fraudulent information affects a third-party insurance claim, such matter shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions of the relevant insurance policy and the applicable decision of the insurance provider.

If membership is terminated before the Policy Holder becomes eligible for Bujurg Sahayta, the Policy Holder shall not be eligible to claim Bujurg Sahayta on the basis of the terminated membership.
Completion of Membership: After the applicable Bujurg Sahayta has been successfully provided in relation to the death of the Insured Person, the relevant policy shall be considered fully completed and terminated. Thereafter, all benefits and facilities available under the Bujurg Sahayta Yojna shall cease and the Institution shall have no further obligation to provide any additional benefit or assistance in relation to such completed policy, provided that the Policy Holder and Nominee have complied with all applicable Terms and Conditions of the scheme and no fraud, misrepresentation or concealment of material facts has been established.
After completion of the policy in accordance with the above provision, the Institution shall not demand or recover any additional amount from the Policy Holder or Nominee in relation to the completed policy, except where recovery is permitted under these Terms and Conditions due to fraud, misrepresentation, concealment of material facts or any other unlawful act.
If at any stage it is established that the Policy Holder or Nominee obtained Bujurg Sahayta by submitting false or forged documents, providing incorrect or misleading information, concealing material facts, committing fraud or using any other unlawful means, the Institution shall have the right to cancel the relevant benefit and recover the amount incorrectly paid.
In the event of fraudulently or improperly obtained Bujurg Sahayta, the Institution shall have the right to recover the improperly paid assistance amount together with applicable interest, costs and expenses and take appropriate legal action or other available remedies under applicable law.
Termination or completion of membership shall not affect any right or obligation that arose before the effective date of termination or completion, including any amount lawfully recoverable by the Institution under these Terms and Conditions.
Any insurance coverage associated with the membership shall separately be governed by the Terms and Conditions of the relevant third-party insurance policy, including provisions relating to cancellation, termination, continuation and validity of insurance.
21. Death of a Participant
In the event of the death of the Insured Person, the Policy Holder shall immediately inform the Institution of the death and the Bujurg Sahayta process may proceed subject to fulfillment of the eligibility, waiting period, contribution, document, verification and other applicable conditions of the scheme.
For processing the applicable assistance, the Policy Holder shall submit the death certificate, identity proof, proof of relationship and other required documents prescribed by the Institution.
If the Insured Person dies before completion of the 12-month waiting period, no Bujurg Sahayta shall be payable in relation to the death of such Insured Person and applicable membership benefits related to such event may cease.
In the event of the death of the Policy Holder, the registered Nominee of the Policy Holder may, subject to applicable rules and verification requirements, become eligible to receive the Bujurg Sahayta that would otherwise be payable to the Policy Holder in relation to the death of the Insured Person.
Any life, accident, health or other insurance benefit payable due to the death of the Policy Holder shall be payable to the eligible Nominee only in accordance with the Terms, Conditions, exclusions, required documents and claim approval process of the relevant third-party insurance policy.
The death of the Policy Holder, Insured Person or Nominee alone shall not create any other or additional benefit beyond the benefits expressly provided under the scheme or applicable insurance policy.
22. Change of Nominee / Beneficiary
The Policy Holder may request a change of Nominee by submitting a written request to the Institution in accordance with the prescribed process, subject to applicable rules and verification requirements.
The new Nominee must be the eligible nearest family member of the Policy Holder and must submit the prescribed identity, relationship and other supporting documents. No other person shall be accepted as the Nominee.
Any change in Nominee shall become effective only after verification and approval by the Institution and necessary modification of the official membership records.
A change in Nominee shall not affect any benefit or claim duly approved or paid before the effective date of such change.
In the event of the death of the existing Nominee, the Policy Holder may request a change of Nominee in accordance with the applicable process by nominating another eligible nearest family member.
For any life, accident, health or other third-party insurance benefit, the Nominee shall be determined according to the requirements of the relevant insurance policy and insurance provider. Any change of Nominee under such insurance policy shall be made separately according to the process prescribed by the relevant insurance provider.
The Institution shall not be responsible for any delay, rejection or non-payment of an insurance claim caused by failure to update the Nominee details with the relevant insurance provider.
23. Suspension / Rejection of Bujurg Sahayta
If the Policy Holder or Nominee fails to fulfill the applicable eligibility, membership, contribution, document, verification or other requirements of the scheme, the Institution may suspend, withhold, postpone or reject the Bujurg Sahayta request.
If the prescribed ₹300/- Bujurg Sahayta contribution is not deposited within the prescribed time or the death of the Insured Person is not reported to the Institution immediately by the Policy Holder or applicable person, the Bujurg Sahayta may be withheld or rejected.
If the Insured Person dies before completion of the prescribed 12-month waiting period or fails to satisfy any other eligibility condition of the scheme, Bujurg Sahayta may be rejected.
If the documents or information submitted are found to be false, forged, incomplete, invalid, misleading or inconsistent with the records of the Institution, the Institution may withhold or reject the Bujurg Sahayta.
If additional documents, information, explanations or verification requested by the Institution are not submitted within the prescribed time, the Bujurg Sahayta may be withheld.
Upon confirmation of fraud, misrepresentation, concealment of material facts or any other unlawful activity, the Institution shall have the right to reject Bujurg Sahayta, cancel the relevant benefit and recover any amount already paid together with applicable interest and costs, subject to these Terms and Conditions and applicable law.
Submission of an application for Bujurg Sahayta or completion of required documents alone shall not create any automatic or unconditional right to receive Bujurg Sahayta. Payment shall be made only after satisfactory verification and approval by the Institution.
24. Accuracy of Information and Documents
The Policy Holder, Nominee and Insured Person shall be required to submit correct, accurate, complete, valid and updated information and documents at the time of registration and whenever required by the Institution.

No amendment shall affect any duly approved and paid benefits before the effective date of such amendment.
Any change to the rules, coverage, premium, exclusions or benefits of a third-party insurance policy shall be determined by the relevant insurance provider and applicable insurance policy and shall not be considered an amendment made by the Institution to the scheme.
26. Exceptional Circumstances
The Institution shall not be responsible for any delay, suspension or inability to process or pay Bujurg Sahayta caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, riots, government restrictions, legal or regulatory orders, strikes, technical failures, banking disruptions or other unforeseen circumstances.
If the Bujurg Sahayta process or payment is affected by such circumstances, the Institution may temporarily postpone or suspend the relevant process until normal operations are restored or a reasonable alternative arrangement becomes available.
After the exceptional circumstances cease, the Institution shall make reasonable efforts to resume the Bujurg Sahayta process as soon as practicable and complete payment of eligible Bujurg Sahayta.
No valid benefit shall be rejected solely on the basis of an exceptional circumstance without reasonable cause, and all assistance shall remain subject to these Terms and Conditions and applicable law.
